Daniela Ryf Storms South Africa with Dominating Win

XLAB Champion Daniela Ryf put down another sub-9 hour performance at the IRONMAN African Championship, crossing the tape in a stunning 8:47:02.

Despite a nagging back injury that nearly caused her to back out of the race, Ryf pulled off a huge lead on the bike leg. Her women’s-best 4:50:50 put her 3+ minutes ahead of the rest of the field. A dominating 2:57:27 marathon clocked her third sub-3 hour marathon of her career.

For carrying her repair, Daniela opts for the Aero Pouch 300 mounted on a Delta 400. The Aero Pouch’s CFD-proven design wraps around her bottle cage and ensures repair essentials remain sleek and fast.

The Aero TT frame bottle can save up to 64 seconds on a full distance race compared to a standard bottle.

Daniela also uses the new leak-free Torpedo Bottle designed with an innovative breather valve, mounted on the new ultra-secure clip-down Versa Mount. Turn the bottle upside down or shake it around – the new leak-free bottle design keeps liquids inside!

XLAB Champion Helle Frederiksen Lights Up Puerto Rico

Helle Frederiksen, the newest addition to the powerhouse slate of XLAB Champions, opened her 2017 season with a top podium spot at 70.3 Puerto Rico.

She led the field out of the water, followed by consistent performances on the bike and run. For Frederiksen, the race made for another solid showing at the iconic, paradisiacal venue, headlined by her wins in 2013 and 2014.

Her go-to gear for superstar splits? The Torpedo Versa 500 allows her to on-the-fly adjust the angle of her bike computer in the island sun. For nutrition storage, Helle opted for the Stealth Pocket 500c with a sleek, element-deflecting carbonesque finish. Her setup is rounded out by the Aero TT on the frame, and the patented Aero Pouch 300 keeps repair storage tucked neatly behind her rear bottle.

Her strong race posted the fastest swim split of the day, and the 5th fastest bike split amongst a hard-charging women’s field.

The 3rd place take continues a string of strong XLAB Champion performances using the new Torpedo Kompact 500 aerobar hydration system. The new model leverages the award-winning design of the Torpedo Kompact 100 with new features like a redesigned carbon mounting plate and the brand new Raptor Carbon Cage, which is color-customizable to match most kits and bikes.
