XLAB was born in what would become the premier multisport retailer in the world, Nytro Multisport Technology. Athletes were asking for a better way to carry their hydration and nutrition on the bike.
Inspired by Lotus design, the Saddle Wing was our first rear hydration design. Removing the cages from the frame and positioning them behind the rider provided a measureable aerodynamic advantage.
Placing bottles behind the saddle significantly increased the demands on traditional cages. Enter the Gorilla. With 10 pounds of bottle grip; this carbon cage was a true game changer.
The Carbon Wing was the next evolution in rear hydration. Before it was retired in 2021, the Carbon Wing won numerous world and age group championships.

The start of the #torpedospeed era. The BTA style known as 'Torpedo' became revolutionary in allowing riders to remain aerodynamic while drinking.
The Torpedo bottle, our streamlined, one-piece
refillable bottle debuted in 2013.
Its combination of usability and

made it an instant hit.
Seeing a need to add storage to our Delta
series of single bottle rear carriers we
introduced our patented Aero Pouch 300.
